What happens when you connect springtime and two vintage fashion debutants in Springfield, Mo? A Vintage Wedding Fashion Show! And not just any fashion show, one featuring beautifully inked babes from all walks of life in downtown SGF. Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the Ink and Tulle Fashion Show hosted by Patton Alley Pub and the bold babes of Gritty Luxe is happening May 13th, 2017.
Over mimosas, I had the opportunity to sit down with fellow WeDamer, Celine of Patton Alley Pub, and grill her about this awesome event. While she is a major cooperating component of WeDames, she also has modeled in some of Gritty Luxe’s past fashion shows, including their fall 2016 vintage fashion show. A mother, advocate for women’s rights and passionate about all things stylish and trendy, this is the first time Celine has had the opportunity to co-create a fashion show – complete with a catwalk, live music, and drink specials.
Tattooed Brides Vintage Fashion Show
Celine, Becca, and Kaycie put their creative energy together and realized they wanted to empower women and highlight the beauty of the unconventional bride. In today’s era, the word “conventional” has been replaced with “personalized” especially in regards to weddings. Celine, being the casual laid-back type of gal she is, added her own flair to her big day. Everyone wore what they wanted, there was no groom’s side or bride’s side – you could sit where you pleased – and about the only conventional thing about her wedding was the gown. Simple yet elegant, beautiful and personal.
When Celine had the thought of doing a wedding fashion show, she immediately thought Becca and Kaycie from Gritty Luxe because they are fun to work with. In these dames’ eyes, all women are beautiful regardless their shape, size and the ink they don.

This is a show not to miss – and if you see a gal running around with a camera talking to all the gorgeous ladies in vintage wedding dresses, be sure to say hello – I like meeting new friends!
In short, women have been owning their power more and more in our community – whether they are entrepreneurs, business owners, or regular powerhouses with a million things on their to-do list, this event was created with the essence of the feminine spirit in mind: bold, beautiful and captivating. I’ll see you there Springfield!
