We are always on the road to somewhere; while some haphazardly stumble down it for years not really knowing where they are headed (like yours truly), there are others who write down their goals, acknowledge their dreams and take definite steps towards achieving them. But even if you do know what you want, sometimes we need that extra push that only a non-attached 3rd party can give. This is why I am very pleased to announce the first-ever You Are Strong Conference is debuting in our beloved town, Springfield. And who better to coach you than an ex-college athlete?
Angie Wiley is an industry leader in the corporate world, owns a successful small business and has moved on to teach a program which was originally created for teenage girls as a sort of boot camp. So often in athletics, we are taught strength training, cardio and endurance while almost completely leaving out the mental/emotional side of sports.
What Is “You Are Strong” All About? What Will I Get Out of It?
Mrs. Wiley created the You Are Strong program with five (5) keys to cover and get clear on. Once you have gained clarity in these areas, you can move towards your desired end-result more easily. It’s like having any road-blocks or challenges fall away, so you can have what you want in your life, whether it is a successful career, a loving family, health, and wellness or doing something new, such as public speaking. Here are the five (5) keys she, along with her guest speakers, will be covering at this event.
- Your Thing
What is your identity? What is your passion? This key is about looking within and finding what your gift is. To know what it is requires you know how to look within and listen without the opinions of other people around you.
- Your Vision
What is your big picture? Can you visualize it happening? Here Angie uses tools such as vision boards to support people in picturing their ideal life. After all, what you focus on grows!
- Your Game Plan
What daily choices and actions will you make which will prompt you towards your goals? Are these choices and actions helping or hindering you? Here, you get to create your own personal game plan that propels you towards your dreams.
- The Zone
Often, when we are creating our ideal lives, things like limiting thoughts, beliefs, and fears get in our way. When this happens we can’t get in the zone. During this program, not only do you get to identify what those fears are, you get to release them so you can easily get into that flow whereby everything unfolds effortlessly.
- Your Power
Owning your power doesn’t just mean achieving what you want, it is also knowing how to make a mistake without taking it personally. Dealing with failure, or the idea that we have failed, is paramount to success. If you can respond rightly without making a perceived failure mean something about you (I am a failure, I am stupid, I will never try again, etc), you have the magic formula which will get you to realize your goals more quickly and easily.
