So while it isn’t our typical Ladies’ Night Out with product sponsors, and free food and drink for the first 30 ladies, it IS still an opportunity to get out and meet other fun people in Springfield while simultaneously supporting the breast cancer foundation. And what’s better? It is held at one of my favorite establishments, Missouri Spirits in downtown Springfield! And yes, you loveable WeDANs are invited too.
Ladies & Gents, Take Note – Here are the Deets
The theme, ladies and jellyspoons, is “Think Pink!” So put on your pink attire and wear it shamelessly. October is breast cancer awareness month, and the digital marketing company RareFlamingo has partnered with Missouri Spirits, The Blue Room Comedy Club and other fine establishments in Springfield, Mo to raise funds for cancer research.
The cool thing about Missouri Spirits is they have this special every Wednesday called Women’s Whiskey Wednesday – all whiskey drinks for women are $5, and may I just say that they have some amazing drinks. My favorites are their Bourbon Old Fashion and Boat Shoes. In all honesty, if Denelle (a lovely lass that works at MO Spirits) hadn’t twisted my arm to try the boat shoes, I would have overlooked it and missed out on this awesome drink.
Another cool thing is Women’s Whiskey Wednesday isn’t limited to October 5th, it is happening every Wednesday in October. So if you can’t make a meetup, you can simply join the next one.
Venue: Missouri Spirits, 507 W Walnut St, Springfield, MO 65806
Drink Specials: $5 whiskey drinks for the la-la-ladies

Again, both ladies AND gents are invited, so bring out your man and friends to have a blast while supporting breast cancer research. I will be there with my meetup sign, and if I am not, then someone else from WeDames will be!
If whiskey ain’t your drink of choice, you can still support breast cancer research by hitting up the Blue Room Comedy Club located within Billiards every Friday and Saturday in October. They have some hilarious comedians coming through, and a portion of the proceeds go to the breast cancer foundation – have a laugh, save lives. Sounds like a win/win situation to me!
