If you couldn’t tell by the title of this article, I am super-stoked to tell you Dragonfest is BACK and it is coming up quick!
Last year was the first annual Dragonfest hosted by Infinity Academy: a school which meets the educational needs of middle and high school-aged students who need an alternative to traditional schooling such as those with developmental learning disabilities and autism.
This is a big deal because while there are special-needs classes for younger students, by the time children with learning disabilities get to high school, they are left on their own to fend for themselves and adapt to a style of learning which doesn’t suit them. Aside from not fitting in with their peers socially and emotionally, they are often labeled as having “behavioral” problems. In essence, Infinity Academy provides a school for older children with learning disabilities a safe space to learn, be themselves and receive the type of education conducive to their learning style.
Dragonfest is a huge Renaissance-style party filled with games, music, demonstrations and, yes, jousting! This family friendly event is open to the entire community, and the admission fee is only $5 – but it is free for children aged 10 and under. Dragonfest 2017 was designed to help raise funds for the students’ tuition fees and will open at 11:30am and end around 5:00pm on Saturday, October 21st, 2017.
In fact, if you are a business looking for some uh-mazing marketing and advertising opportunities, you may want to become a vendor at the event, or become a sponsor (if you are really hardcore and want to help a lot of students), and enjoy all the amazing benefits which come along with it! Not only would you be helping children, but you will also enjoy all the perks and benefits which come with it while simultaneously being able to chat with people about your business, products and/or services. Does it get any better than that??
