I know it seems a little early, it being August and all, but in my experience luck favors the prepared and shoes are no exception. Before I go any further, it is important that I admit all the shoes I own can be counted on two hands – I am a minimalist by nature. When I moved back to the states from overseas I was perfectly content with two suitcases containing only the bare essentials….but let’s not stray off topic!
There are some great places to get some awesome winter boots and shoes here in Springfield, Mo. In fact, I just dropped $10 the other day purchasing a pair of Kenneth Cole leather boots. Yes! Yes there is! Oh joy!

Winter Shoe Shopping Online.
Don’t fancy going out? Let me guess, by the time you GET time to go shopping, you can’t be bothered to go out and browse. If you are an avid online shopper, then you must, ABSOLUTELY MUST, get the browser extension Honey.
What the Heck is Honey?
Honey is my newest most specialist favoritest thing in the world. It is a browser extension whereby whenever you shop online (even if it is Pappa Johns, GoDaddy, Hostgator, Amazon, etc), it goes through all coupon codes associated with that brand and applies them to your checkout. No Joke! I just bought a domain name for my International LLC called Xiao Ya Creative, and it cost me just a little over a dollar. A DOLLAR FOR A DOMAIN!! WHAT?!?!? There I go off topic again.
If you are the type of shoe-shopper who makes online purchases above all else, be a sweety and get Honey now. It is free, it is easy and once installed you don’t have to lift a finger!
How Do I Install Honey?
I am so glad you asked…well, you didn’t but that’s beside the point. Here is a step-by-step tutorial because I love you all so much and want to make sure you get your winter boots and shoes as cheap as possible.
- Open your browser (google, safari, etc) and go to settings. Follow the yellow arrow.
- Click on extensions.
- Scroll down and click “Get more extensions.”
- Type Honey in the search box.
- Install honey.
VOILA! You don’t even have to think about it anymore. Every time you go to your shopping cart, before you click “purchase,” honey goes to work finding and applying coupons, picking the one which gives you the most savings. It is effortless! And free….it is definitely free. I love this app so much – if it were a man I would leave my boyfriend (I hope he doesn’t read this).
