As you may know by now, The Blue Room Comedy Club is not only Springfield’s premiere comedy club, but it also is THE place for Springfield’s up-and-coming comedians. But aside from cultivating entertainment within our own city, Springfield is a great stop for national and international comedians! That’s right! Because our fair town is conveniently located as a major intersection for many highways, we often have top-notch comedians come through Springfield and this weekend is going to be huge!
In fact, this is weekend is our first biggest show of 2017! We wanted to give an opportunity to everyone to purchase tickets today before prices go up. With more than half of tickets sold for both shows, we will sell out quickly. This a show not to be missed this Friday and Saturday! Also, listen to US 97 with Spankmeister for a chance to win two free tickets!
Greg hails from St. Louis, MO, where his father was a high school wrestling coach and his mother made him play clarinet in the band. He has captivated audiences with anecdotes about the conflict inherent in meshing the two disparate high school identities of varsity wrestler and band geek. Greg’s “Flute Man” bit is a perfect encapsulation of the insecurities of high school and the ongoing quest to be cool, and is one of the most requested bits in the history of the Bob & Tom Show.
During college, Greg won a comedy contest and was invited to perform at Déjà Vu, a local club in Columbia, MO. After a stint selling Jif and Pringles for Procter & Gamble, Greg made the decision to become a full-time comedian. This bold move led to an invitation to Montreal’s prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in 2002, where Greg performed as one of the featured New Faces of Comedy. He has also been seen on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Greg Warren recently seen on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Late Show and Comedy Central Presents, has built a strong fan base with an act inspired by his Midwestern upbringing. He is a favorite on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show, which led to touring theaters nationwide with The Bob & Tom All Stars Comedy Tour.
