That’s right – who better to get a beat on the Springfield Scene than her own inhabitants? We love Springfield, Mo to pieces. It is such an eclectic mixture of art, fun, food and fam, ranging from extreme conservative views to loosely liberal perspectives. It is what it is, and it is home!
Being a social nonprofit, we are interested in what makes you tick, what revs your engine and gets you jumping out of bed in the morning. Perhaps you love to travel, or photography, perhaps you are a health nut or a fashion freak. Whatever it is (so long as it is moral, ethical and legal), we want to hear your point of view!
This is why we have started accepting guest posts from our beloved readers. The best part is you can link it back to your own website, Facebook page, LinkedIn profile or whatever! While there are a few guidelines we wish our writers adhere to, such as not publishing a lengthy sales page on why YOU (that’s right, you) need to buy Acme toothbrush today, the most important thing is that you are heard!
What Can I Write About?
We have a myriad of different categories available, some listed below… and hey, if you wanted to start your own category on our online women’s magazine, we should meet up over coffee for a chat!

- Unique perspectives that add a distinctive voice to feature content;
- Ethical and fair writing that doesn’t put the publisher in a compromising position;
- SEO knowledge is a plus;
- Vibrant, timely/current content Springfield-based/geographically specific content is a plus.
What We Avoid
- Content that is excessively promotional/self-promotional;
- Overly political;
- Offensive content and language;

- Excessive profanity (vulgar is no substitute for wit, darling);
- Copyright infringement;
- Content that promotes violence, racism, sexism or is targeted against a specific group of people.
We love the idea of receiving a vibrant mix of voices on our magazine. And though it is a free women’s magazine based out of Springfield, that shouldn’t deter our “WeDans” from contributing. In fact, we have already had a few people submit posts on topics which make them feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
For example, are you a Pokemon Go player? Check out this article from Sean on some awesome Pokestops to hit up on the south side of town!
Looking for local happenings and events? Aranxta was kind enough to cover the Route 66 festival – you can read all about it here.
If you love eating out and are a local foodie, feel free to send us your review! Have a few parenting hacks? Fantastic! Or perhaps you have THE BEST recipe for stuffed peppers, or homemade hamburgers. We say yes to all the above.
