I love living in Springfield, MO because there are so many fun things to do as an adult, with your kids, or with your extended family, especially around the holidays. However, there are certain holidays you would rather stay in and avoid the crowds and drama, curl up on the couch with your blanket and hang with those nearest and dearest to you.

10 Bubbly New Year’s Cocktails For Those Staying In for the New Year
Happy New Year!
You can’t have New Year’s without Champagne. This one is especially appealing – shake together ruby port, brandy and orange juice before straining into Champagne flutes and topping off with your favorite bubbly. Personally, I like me a nice brut (am not drawn to the sweet champagnes)
It isn’t quite New Year’s unless you have some kind of bubbly libation. Take the Avartini for example: blueberry Stoli, blue Curacao, and a bit of Sprite makes this drink fruity and bubbly.
Keep it simple yet fizzy with this drink. A bit of cherry brandy, some lemon juice and carbonated water to give it that extra something you need as the ball drops!
Sparkling wine, orange liqueur, orange juice and the topper – pomegranate liqueur. This is a sweeter cocktail, but one which is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
A new fav of mine, this drink is perfect for those who don’t want to start the New Year with a massive hangover. A shot of vodka, a couple tablespoons of lime juice and soda water will keep you going all night!
Vodka, lemon juice, peach schnapps and soda water is a fun twist on the Cherry Fizz, but with a little more kick.
Another bluesy cocktail, this one can turn out quite beautiful if you layer it in this order: fizzy lemonade, blue curacao and Cointreau. That lemonade though…
A bit brighter than it’s blue companions above, and somewhat fruitier (depending on how you mix it) this red drink is made with blackberry currant soda, gin, and Patron Citronge.
Another Champagne cocktail, this one is also another fruity drink which requires muddling cranberries, orange slices and a fig, add vodka and top off with some champagne. Trust us, the muddling is worth the taste!
I am not much of a stout drinker, but this wasn’t bad at all! Mix equal parts stout and champagne to make this cocktail. For some reason (one I can’t explain), the dark stout and champagne works together very well. Give it a go!
